Last Family of 2009 The Jacobs

December 22, 2009

This year has been a lot of fun. I got to know a lot of great people and have done some fun, interesting shoots. Here is the last family session of 2009. I don’t do a lot of indoor locations, but when its below freezing and the family has a beautiful little new born baby, you’re forced to find a warm windowed location. The Salt Lake Library was a perfect solution. The little girls were perfect little posers. Without any direction they would put their hands on their hips and throw their chin towards their shoulders. It made me laugh every time. Thanks again Jacobs.

St. Thomas Family

December 9, 2009

Sometimes its hard to be happy and smile when its freezing cold outside, but this family did a great job. When looking at the little girl you might think she wasn’t very happy, but I think if you considered how cold it was, I am amazed she didn’t bawl her head off when the blanket was taken off. In fact, I loved the stoic look that she would give me. I never had to fight for her attention though, her eyes were glued to my camera. I love finding new places to shoot, and this blue wall was really fun.

Max is such a funny little guy. His parents told him to give his skinny face, which looked a lot like blue steel, and I literally fell over laughing. I was very happy with the results from this shoot.

My awesome wife is designing their christmas card which I’ll post here after they have mailed it out to everyone.

These girls are awesome. Not only are they sisters, but after spending some time taking their pictures, I could tell they are also best friends. I really enjoy shooting this age group. If you want a Best Friends shoot I have some fun ideas for you, so give me a call.

Halloween is for sure one of my favorite holidays, and now that my son is getting old enough to really get excited about it, it makes it that much more fun. This year we carved pumpkins, ate spooky pancakes, drank pumpkin shakes, and of course lots of trick-or-treating. Here are a couple pictures of our Batman and our little stinker.
Halloween was a lot of fun but now that its over we can start getting excited about the next big holidays. Give me a call for your holiday family photos. I plan on posting some examples of my wife’s awesome custom holiday card designs as well, so hurry and save a date before we’re totally booked.

Wow, this was a very productive weekend. Six blog posts in two days. We were in San Diego Last week, I’ll post those photos soon, and as you could tell I got a little behind. I had to end it all with some pictures of my two gorgeous kids. The pumpkin season is almost over and I was afraid I was going to miss it.

Hudson is just the cutest little baby. I might be a little biased because he is my nephew, but I’m positive you will agree.

Sorry Julie to make you wait so long, but here is a quick peek at two of my favorites.

It’s rare to find a family of older kids, that are still willing to get close and hug for photos. You could tell that these guys were not just family but also good friends. Caitlin, the high school senior, was a natural in front of the camera. She claims it’s because she is in a photography class and because she is a huge fan of the TV show America’s Next Top Model. Either way she was a lot of fun.
