My neighbor contacted me with a bit of a proposition. She does some great crochet work and has done a few pieces for me in the past. She offered to make a bunch of newborn hats and cocoons for me, if I would take some pictures of her hats that are currently for sale on her Etsy site. I knew that my friend Lexi would be a perfect model to show off these hats. It was a lot of fun and I’m excited to do some more.
If any of you own a boutique or have items you sell on Etsy or anywhere that would benefit from professional pictures, lets talk.

February 12, 2010Foggy Morning
January 17, 2010For those that don’t know I am working on a photo a day project, and this morning the fog gave me some ideas that I wanted to try out. Since there were a few I wanted to share I decided to post some more here. To see the photo of the day project click here.
Last Family of 2009 The Jacobs
December 22, 2009This year has been a lot of fun. I got to know a lot of great people and have done some fun, interesting shoots. Here is the last family session of 2009. I don’t do a lot of indoor locations, but when its below freezing and the family has a beautiful little new born baby, you’re forced to find a warm windowed location. The Salt Lake Library was a perfect solution. The little girls were perfect little posers. Without any direction they would put their hands on their hips and throw their chin towards their shoulders. It made me laugh every time. Thanks again Jacobs.

Max – Sandy Children Photographer – Travis Richardson
November 24, 2009Max is such a funny little guy. His parents told him to give his skinny face, which looked a lot like blue steel, and I literally fell over laughing. I was very happy with the results from this shoot.
My awesome wife is designing their christmas card which I’ll post here after they have mailed it out to everyone.

Hope you all had a Happy Halloween
November 2, 2009Halloween is for sure one of my favorite holidays, and now that my son is getting old enough to really get excited about it, it makes it that much more fun. This year we carved pumpkins, ate spooky pancakes, drank pumpkin shakes, and of course lots of trick-or-treating. Here are a couple pictures of our Batman and our little stinker.
Halloween was a lot of fun but now that its over we can start getting excited about the next big holidays. Give me a call for your holiday family photos. I plan on posting some examples of my wife’s awesome custom holiday card designs as well, so hurry and save a date before we’re totally booked.

Pumpkin Patch {Salt Lake Family Photographer Travis Richardson}
October 25, 2009Wow, this was a very productive weekend. Six blog posts in two days. We were in San Diego Last week, I’ll post those photos soon, and as you could tell I got a little behind. I had to end it all with some pictures of my two gorgeous kids. The pumpkin season is almost over and I was afraid I was going to miss it.

Baby Hudson {Newborn Photographer Travis J Photography}
October 25, 2009Hudson is just the cutest little baby. I might be a little biased because he is my nephew, but I’m positive you will agree.

Jeppson Family
September 16, 2009I can’t believe I almost forgot to post this awesome family photo session. The Jeppson’s were easy to work with, not only because they are gorgeous, and stylish, but also because they are an all around nice family. Their kids were so fun to work with and just had fun playing outside together. Summer is almost gone now. The morning’s are cold enough to be jacket worthy and its just not hot enough during the day to justify running through the sprinklers. Although the winter isn’t all bad I already miss the summer.

Sweet Pea turns 1
September 1, 2009I really can’t believe that my little girl is already 1. This little angel defines sugar and spice and everything nice. Nothing makes my heart melt more than a little hug from her. Happy Birthday Sweat Pea.

Here is the birthday invitation My wife, Taryn, designed. She does a lot of custom invitations and announcements. Her wedding stuff is outstanding.

Annie’s Seniors
June 17, 2009I teach a sunday school class of 17 to 19 year olds, and a couple weeks ago I mentioned that I would be taking some senior pictures of Brianna. A few of the boys in the class smiled and one of them finally asked sheepishly, “Can we have one?” I just laughed and said, “you wish”.
I really enjoyed hanging out with Brianna and her mom, and I think these turned out really good.
