I love living in Utah, and having the ability to drive a few minutes and be on a beautiful lake up in the mountains. Early Saturday morning we did just that, and went to Jordanelle Lake. The water was pretty cold at 8 a.m. but once you crash a few times the water doesn’t seem so cold. I hurt my wrist earlier that week, so I wasn’t able to really go crazy wakeboarding but thats what little brothers are for. Here a couple shots I got of Chase doing flips on the wakeboard and being thrown off the tube.

And of course I can’t help throwing in a picture of my little Sweet Pea.

Wow life has gotten busy. I feel like my blog has been so slow lately, and its not from a lack of content. Here is a family session I did a few weeks ago. It was a fun session and I’ll never forget how the mom got the youngest child to smile. She gave him her chapstick and said, “Throw it at mommy”. His eyes would light up and the he would chuck it as hard as he could and bust up laughing. Unconventional but apparently very affective.

I met the Cervantez family because they won a Family photo session with me, from their elementary school fundraiser. Actually DeeAnn, the mom, grew up near my mom’s family. I was hoping to get some good blackmail on my mom but sadly she didn’t have anything. It was fun working with these guys. I was even able to get a good smile out of the oldest son, Garritt, even though his mom said he wasn’t excited to have his picture taken.

For memorial weekend we decided to join up with a group of our neighbors that were heading down to St. George. We had a lot of fun Hanging out by the pool, and stuffing our faces. After spending the weekend with us, everyone now has an idea how crazy and different from each other our kids are. Ethan is just a ball of energy that never runs out. Ada is a happy quiet baby that is content just hanging out eating grass. One day while sitting by the playground watching the kids throw sand in each others eyes, Ethan decided to follow a girl with a soccer ball back to her condo. I started to follow him when we saw him go around the corner. I got up and chased after him. When I finally caught up to him he was two flights of stairs away on the third floor banging on their door yelling HELLO! Next trip we decided is going to have to be an adults only trip. Thanks again everyone for letting us crash the party.

Ethan’s buddy drew is so cute and fun. He really didn’t like being disturbed while he was really enjoying his ice cream cone.

Here are few more pictures of my niece Rian. When it comes to taking photos, she needs a little bit of time to warm up. After walking around a little bit and playing with my son she was ready to go. Rian has more sass than most girls I know, but I think when your this cute it comes with the territory.

Happy Mothers Day to all you mothers out there. I have a wonderful collection of awesome mothers in my life. My mom is an amazing woman. She has always made it clear to me that she loves me and that she would do anything for me. Mom I love you. My mother in-law is also very special to me. She is so supportive and sincere with her love for her children. (Especially her favorite son in-law)
My wife is a awesome mother to our children. Everyday she seems overwhelmed with the amount of love she has for each one of our children. I hope they all have a great day, and know that I love them dearly.
Funny story, I won’t even be able to be with these amazing women on their day, because I am going to a photography workshop. And if you don’t think that is selfish enough. The very next day is my wife’s birthday and I will be gone for that too. I’m not sure how I am going to make it up to her, but I’ll come up with something. Taryn I love you.
I know no one will read this post unless there is a picture attached, so here is a cool mini session I did with my buddy Jordan and his son. I think they turned out a great. Yes they are a little cheesy but you women love cheesy right?

Contact me for more info on my mini sessions. These are great for small gifts or quick creative shots.

Nate and Lauren have been good friends of ours for years. So it was a pleasure to hang out with them on a beautiful spring day, and take a few pictures of them and their kids. Their oldest child would sit and let me take pictures for a couple minutes then needed a break to literally frolic in the trees and grass. It was a lot of fun, and thanks again for asking me to take your picture.

I’ve been asked if I am able to design some announcements and cards for people to send out along with the pictures I take. I tell them that I am not able to do that, but luckily my wife is pretty good at it. She has lots of great, creative ideas and has a real talent. She has created a bunch of stunning wedding announcements, shower invites, calendars and cards. Some of which I will try and post on here later for you to see. If you are interested in anything like that, be sure to let me know.
Here is just one example of a card she did recently.

Wow, what a great weekend. No stress, we just spent the entire weekend with our kids, which included: The Dinosaur Museum, The Aquarium, two Easter egg hunts, and frequent visits to the park to enjoy the warm spring weather. To top it all off I took a picture of my wife that she actually liked. I have had a few people ask why she isn’t plastered all over this blog, because she is so beautiful, the only answer I could give was, “She’s her worst critic.” This time she said, “Wow, I look hot”.
