Can I tell you how excited I am to shoot this couple’s wedding?  First of all, these two are awesome.  They are happy people, and a lot of fun to be around. Second, the first question they asked me was, “would you like to shoot our wedding in Cabo?”

Um, YES!

When we sat down together to discuss what we wanted to do for their engagement session, we discussed bikes and their dog in the mountains. But then they saw the shoot I had done with Zuri, the zebra. Catherine called me and said that the owner of the zebra was a family friend of hers.  Then she told me that she really wanted to have her engagements with the zebra.

So here comes obvious question number two, “would you shoot our session with the zebra?”

YES!

I’m always impressed bye feats of will power, and these two have that. They both finished the 208 mile LOTOJA bike race in September. I’m sure there is some metaphor for marriage in there somewhere.

Thanks, again, Kacey and Catherine.  I can hardly wait until next month!

Here is another reason why I love doing engagement sessions…

Happy 4th of July

July 3, 2011

Easily one of my favorite holidays. Celebrating our freedoms with food, fun, and fireworks. Thanks again, Jess, for being my model for these pictures. Happy 4th of July!

Alicia and Zach

June 19, 2011

I just got home from a wedding in Spokane, Washington. It was a beautiful wedding and we got a lot of great pictures. I’m very excited to post them here. I also have a lot of other awesome sessions I need to post. For example, Alicia and Zach. Alicia, I know you have been anxious to see your pictures, so here are just a few of my favorites.

Like I’ve said before, I am way behind on blog posts. Here is a fun Bridal Session from a few weeks ago. The second the first shutter clicked I felt a rain drop hit me. Instead of worrying about it we shot in the rain and got some great pictures.

Sam and Blake were fun to spend an evening with. Blake is the type you want to keep your eye on. Listening to his plans for life and his entrepreneurial spirit would get anyone excited. Watching these two together, you can really see how much they love each other. We originally planned to shoot in a wide open field but sadly the wind didn’t agree with us. When discussing an alternate location, Sam and Blake mentioned how much they love Little Cottonwood Canyon and how its the most beautiful of our local canyons. Its very true. You could pretty much pull over anywhere up there and find a great location. I’m excited to shoot their bridals because we have some great ideas in the works.

Here is another post before I go to bed. Meet Hayden, she is a senior at Hillcrest High and pursuing fashion. I really love taking senior portraits. Seniors have so much attitude that makes these pictures interesting and stand out. Hayden is no exception.

I’ve been excited to share these Formals with you, and now they are finally married so I can. I can’t get enough of this cute couple.

Seriously, Kylee cannot take a bad picture. Such a beautiful girl and a lot of fun. I had the pleasure of shooting Kylee and Mark’s Wedding last week, and from what I could tell, EVERYONE loves them.  I have never been to a wedding that was as packed as theirs.  They can definitely throw a rockin’ party.  I sure was lucky to be able to enjoy their day with them.

As you can see Caitlin and Sam are a very good looking couple and so fun to be around. When they asked me to shoot their Engagements and Bridals I knew right away these were going to turn out awesome. Despite being good looking, Mother Nature had it out for them. When we shot their engagements the wind was nearly blowing us over. When we shot their Bridals in Park City (Coming Soon) the weather was perfect until 30 minutes prior to shooting. However, I do think the snow made those pictures quite pretty. Thank you Sam and Caitlin for being so fun and smiling despite Mother Nature’s curve balls.
