Baby Zebra

June 2, 2011

After my son’s soccer practice tonight, we decided not to let the nice evening end. My wife told me about a baby Zebra she found while on a walk with the kids the other day. I’ve never heard of someone having a pet zebra, but sure enough there he is.

Even though their hair is a mess and not picture ready these kids are adorable.

I love Ashley’s style. After going through the outfits she brought, I was not surprised when she said she wanted to pursue fashion. We talked a little bit about the need to follow your passion and that once you find something you love you should go for it. I think she was a little surprised when she learned that although I took many classes in photography, I got a degree in English. I’ve always loved photography but wasn’t sure what I could do with that. Now that I think about it, I don’t know what I would do with a degree in English.

Good luck, Ashley, with whatever you decide to do. I know you’ll do great.

Most engagement sessions have fun stories and interesting things happen, but not all of them involve people pointing a gun at me. I always ask permission before going to this location but the neighbors are very protective. Thanks again Nicole and Eric for being so cool about it.

Here is a cute couple for your Memorial Day weekend. I wanted to post these before go and mow my lawn, wash the car, and all the many other things my wife has planned for me. I hope you all enjoy your long weekend.

I’m so far behind on my blogging, so get ready for a whole bunch of High School Seniors and Engagement sessions.
Here are just a few of my favorites from Kent’s Senior Session.

After meeting with Eliesa and Brad to discuss their wedding, my wife and I were seriously sore from laughing. Brad is such a goof and so funny. Eliesa is so easy going and even encourages Brad’s goofiness. They are such a cute couple, and I knew this session was going to be a lot of fun.
I can’t wait for their Wedding in July in Portland.

I’ve been excited to share these Formals with you, and now they are finally married so I can. I can’t get enough of this cute couple.

Seriously, Kylee cannot take a bad picture. Such a beautiful girl and a lot of fun. I had the pleasure of shooting Kylee and Mark’s Wedding last week, and from what I could tell, EVERYONE loves them.  I have never been to a wedding that was as packed as theirs.  They can definitely throw a rockin’ party.  I sure was lucky to be able to enjoy their day with them.

As you can see Caitlin and Sam are a very good looking couple and so fun to be around. When they asked me to shoot their Engagements and Bridals I knew right away these were going to turn out awesome. Despite being good looking, Mother Nature had it out for them. When we shot their engagements the wind was nearly blowing us over. When we shot their Bridals in Park City (Coming Soon) the weather was perfect until 30 minutes prior to shooting. However, I do think the snow made those pictures quite pretty. Thank you Sam and Caitlin for being so fun and smiling despite Mother Nature’s curve balls.

Wedding season has begun and is already in full force. Although I’m super busy these days I will try and keep updating my blog. Here is a wedding that I’ve been very anxious to show you all. I had a blast shooting this awesome couple’s wedding. They were so laid back and truly enjoyed their special day. When we were discussing their itinerary for the reception Tyler told me something that peaked my interest. He said that at 8:00 the “wild hypnotic dancing” will start. I’m happy to say they delivered on this plan. I hope you don’t mind me posting a ton of pictures, but like I said, it was a lot of fun.

You might notice my edits have changed a bit. In this post I’ve included my new “vintage” edit and my new BW edit. Let me know what you think.
